FOR THE WOMAN WHO FEELS BEHIND IN LIFE
Dear Evolving Woman,
Have you ever looked around at your life and quietly thought, “I thought I’d have this figured out by now.”
Maybe you imagined you’d feel more confident.
More settled.
More certain about who you are and where you’re going.
Instead, some days still feel messy and confusing.
You’re doing your best to show up for your family, your work, your responsibilities.
If you have been feeling like you should have it all figured out by now, I want to sit with you in that feeling for a moment.
Because more women feel this than we talk about.
There is this quiet pressure that builds over time.
A sense that by a certain age, or stage in life, you should feel settled, confident, and sure of where you are going.
Like you should have the answers, a clear path, and a life that makes complete sense.
But life does not always work that way.
Sometimes it feels messy.
Sometimes it feels uncertain.
Sometimes it feels like you are still trying to understand yourself while the world expects you to already know.
And that can feel heavy.
You might look around and think everyone else has it together.
That they are moving forward while you are still questioning, still figuring things out, still changing your mind.
But the truth is, so many women are still figuring things out too.
They are just not always saying it out loud.
There is nothing wrong with you for still being in the process.
You are allowed to grow at your own pace.
You are allowed to change direction.
You are allowed not to have every answer right now.
Life is not a race to have everything perfectly in place.
It is a journey of learning, learning, and evolving.
Some seasons are about building.
Some are about healing.
Some are about pausing and asking yourself what you truly want.
All of those seasons matter.
You are not behind.
You are becoming.
Even now, in the middle of the questions, in the middle of the uncertainty, you are still growing into the woman you are meant to be.
And that does not have a deadline.
So take a breath.
Release the pressure to have it all figured out.
Trust that where you are right now is still part of your path, even if it does not feel clear yet.
You are not late to your own life.
You are right on time for your own growth.
And even in the moments where you feel unsure, you are still evolving into someone stronger, wiser, and more in tune with yourself than ever before.
Most women are quietly figuring life out as they go, one season at a time.
So maybe the real question isn’t whether you have it all figured out.
Maybe it’s this:
What part of you is ready to grow next?
Love,
Maya Ellis
